How to Turn Your Slides Into Videos with AI!

Today’s Digital Spark highlights a new Google tool that shifts how you share information: Google Vids.
One feature stands out. You can turn a basic slide deck into a polished video with narration and music. No paid Gemini Pro plan needed for this part. The free version covers it.
Here’s how to get started and put it to use.
Getting Started
Search for “Vids by Google” and sign in with your Google account. Once you’re in, look for “Convert slides to video.”
The more advanced tools, like the V3 generator and AI avatars, sit behind the Gemini Pro paywall. The slide-to-video feature doesn’t.
The Workflow
The setup feels simple.
Upload: Add your presentation file.
Select Slides: Pick the ones you want to use, usually all of them.
AI Analysis: The tool reviews your content and matches visuals with pacing and music.
Editing and Customisation
After the import finishes, you’ll land in a timeline editor. This is where Vids starts doing the heavy lifting for you.
AI Narration: The tool drafts a script and records the narration. If the default voice feels off, open the Voiceover tab and switch to another style like Motivator, Coach, or Explainer. Each one shifts the tone of the final video.
Music: It chooses background music that fits the mood of your slides. The tracks come from Shutterstock. If the default choice doesn’t feel right, pick another from the audio library.
Transitions: Add fades or dissolves to smooth out the flow between slides.
Why Try It
A simple slide deck often feels flat. Turning it into a video with narration and clean motion keeps your audience’s attention longer. You skip complicated editing tools and still walk away with a polished result.
If you want your presentations to feel sharper without learning a full video editor, Google Vids is worth a look.
